Undercover Brand Identity
Undercover's motto is enough to speak for the brand and what it stands for. Undercover encapsulates the brain of Jun Takahashi and his interest in the horror, gothic, grotesque, bondage, and formidably, punk aesthetics, though is goes beyond surface level. Takahashi sees beauty and normality in what most would consider disturbing, drawing monsters and watching slasher films from a young age, nothing has changed. The brand defies all that is calm and pretty, and calls to rebellious and opinionated individuals. Collections follow themes largely based on Kubrick films, dead animals, and fictional heroes and villains created by the designer. Takahashi has never strayed away from the core roots of his inspiration, keeping the brand true, yet he is not afraid to make it fun and colorful. This is what makes Undercover the brand it is.
